Christopher Lay – Trip Coordinator
Serve mankind. Two simple words, but they are the catchphrase that has shaped my life. The goal of serving humanity aligned me with the Foundation for Global Leadership (FGL) in 2004 when my wife, Savvy Him, and I assisted FGL with their inaugural trip to Cambodia. I have been helping FGL serve others ever since.
In 1995, I married the love of my life and graduated from Portland State University in Portland, Oregon with a degree in Speech Communication. Two years later, after Savvy finished her undergraduate studies in Business and French, we moved to Japan so that Savvy could master Japanese while I studied the culture. This began our love affair with Asia. Since 1997, we have lived in Japan, Israel, Cambodia and currently reside in Shenzhen, China. We have also traveled to more than 20 countries.
When not working for FGL, I enjoy wandering around China taking photographs and scribbling my thoughts about the country; both of which I intend to publish.
